The ultimate gastronomic experience awaits in the Wadden Sea.

We walk from the Skælbankrampen on the northern side of Mandø towards the oyster banks.

Bring along: Oyster knife, champagne glasses and champagne, gloves, and collection sacks. There's even "champagne" for the children.

We trek the two kilometers out to the oyster banks, providing constant insights into the Wadden Sea, birdlife, migratory birds, coastal living, storm surges, the people who chose to inhabit the islands – the Frisians, and aspects of island life, among others. Naturally, we delve into the longstanding tradition of oystering in the Wadden Sea. Upon request, we can even prepare the gathered oysters with various flavor profiles. Participants may take home the oysters they believe they can consume (let reason prevail).

Attire: Adapted to weather conditions. Footwear: Preferably waders, otherwise standard tall rubber boots. Enhance the experience further with overnight stays and meals at either Mandø Kro or Cafe Mandøpigen. The tour can also be arranged as a "Drive Yourself" option departing from the Wadden Sea Center 30 minutes before the advertised start.
